About Me

Hi!  I am a married Mom of 2 who loves Digital Scrapbooking!  I am currently on the Promotional & Creative Teams for Digital Scrapbooking Studio (theStudio), Carin Grobe Design, Snickerdoodle Designs & Kathy Winters Designs. I also do some Collaboration Designing @ theStudio!  I have been with theStudio since it opened it’s doors back in Aug 2007, it is definitely my other home.  🙂  I have been digi scrapping since early 2005 and I mostly use PSCS4 to create my layouts and designs.  I also use PSE5, Corel Draw, Wacom Bamboo & Illustrator.  Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed your visit & picked up some goodies while you were here!  🙂

  1. Hi, Kimberly! I have a question regarding the kits at kimberkattscraps. Would you please explain what your definition of pu only mean? The reason I am asking is it varies from site to site and I am looking for kits that I can use for my own use as well as give scrapages as gifts if I want too, also I am working on our memory book at church and would like to know if can use these kits for that purpose as well. It is not for profit, but is sold to cover costs for ink, papers, etc. I would not be using the kits in anyway for profit at anytime. Thank You for clarifying this for me! God Bless!!!

    • Hi Fredrika!

I just sent you a more personal email, but thought I should post my general response here, also, in case there is anyone else with the same questions 🙂 My personal use actually covers Scrap4Hire and Scrap4Others, too. I am okay with you using my designs for your own personal use, as well as pages for others, as long as the pages for others are in flattened, non-layered, print form. So, the church books are perfectly fine 🙂 I’m even okay with you charging for these pages, like a Scrap4Hire company, as long as they are offered in flattened,non-layered, print form ONLY! Sharing the flattened, digital form with close friends & family is not a problem either, but in no way can the digital, layered pieces be shared. If you know someone who would be interested, you can send them here to my blog to pick them up, I usually have my freebies up for an indefinite amount of time, so they are always available! Thank you so much for taking interest in my designs, I am honored, I believe that is the biggest form of flattery in digi scrapping! I hope you enjoy using them as much as I enjoyed creating them!! 🙂

  2. Hi Kimberly,

I’m searching the web for information on digital scrapbook designers… I came across you site and would appreciate some advice.

I’ve traditionally scrapbooked for over 15 year, I always wanted to learn how to digi scrap, so I went back to school – I completed a one year program in graphic design.

My question to you is… How do I become a digital scrapbook designer? My dream job would be to work and design digital kits. What steps should I take to make my dream become a reality.

    Thank you
    ~lisa

    • Hi Becky! Yes, you can use any of these for personal pages you create, print & give away. You can also use them for “Scrap4Hire/Other” which is basically what the books for the church are. As long as you are offering a flattened, printed image, and not the individual digital files themselves, you are good to go!! I would love to see anything you create, you can email me @ Kimberkatt@hotmail.com Thanks so much for asking first, it is much appreciated!! 🙂
